What is an “aspect”?
The aspects shown in Astrobooth reflect the angles between the planets within the synastry (i.e. the partnership chart). They are as follows: conjunction, trine, sextile, square and opposition.
What are the “harmonious” and “challenging” aspects?
The challenging aspects are the conjunction of 0º, the square of 90º, and the opposition of 180º. The harmonious aspects are the trine of 120º and the sextile of 60º.
What does it mean for an aspect to be “harmonious” or “challenging”?
Harmonious aspects are those that are traditionally associated with a positive energy or occurrence that connotes a positive emotion. They cause no difficulties for the person, and they do not require a decision or action to be taken up. The challenging aspects, in contrast, reflect conflict, troubles, or a task of some sort that requires attention. They are usually more rigorous to deal with, hence why we are dealing with the challenge of coping with them.
Why does the forecast list several different aspects?
A forecast is based on several of the most significant aspects chosen for the given type of relationship. Through this insight and synthesis, you’ll be able to decide for yourself what the most important ones to you are.
What do the percentages next to the aspects signify?
They reflect the strength with which you can expect the aspect to influence your relationship. The scale is measured in percentages simply for your convenience and optimal judgement when seeing it out of one hundred.
What do the symbols represent?
In astrology, all the planets have symbols, as do the aspects between them. While we certainly do not expect that you will recognize each and every one, we feel it still best to stay true to the original orthography of astrological study.
How should I read each of the forecasts and interpretations?
First, look at how many aspects are present – the number reflects how many “threads” connect you as a couple. After that, look at whether your relationship is challenging or harmonious. This will show the type of energy between you two. And before you read into any of these, make sure to check the strength with which they’re at force, since the strongest ones are also the ones that are most paramount, so it’s best to begin with them. The reading should be understood as a navigation, as if you were following a compass - South might be where you’re most at ease, North might be where you’re attention is most urgent. Through this, a map of sorts will unveil itself, the terrain that makes up the varying relationships you have in the world, and Astrobooth is simply here to help guide you through it so that you may be more confident and aware.
Why does one type of relationship garner more aspects, while another relationship far less?
Astrobooth collects and reflects only the most important aspects for a given relationship, all of which is to give you a focused yet enlarged view of the forces and energies at play in your interactions.
Why do some relationships repeat the same aspects?
There are some key, important aspects that are found in all types of relationships, an example of such an aspect being with the Sun. At the same time, there are equally as many harmonious and challenging aspects which play a vital role between most people.
Why are there some aspects missing between the planets?
There might be partners who just don’t have a certain aspect for that kind of relationship. This reflects the fact that you yourself will have to decide of what nature the relationship is and how important is its role. There might also be aspects you are aware of, but that don’t seem to appear in your forecast, which means that for the given relationship, that aspect does not play a significant enough role.
